On our last day in the Lofoten Islands, we ventured down to Rørvikstranda to put our feet in the sand and step into the icy Arctic Ocean during low tide. From there, we headed to Henningsvær to visit the iconic soccer field and enjoyed lunch on the pier of this charming fishing village. On our way back from Henningsvær, we noticed that the entire beach at Rørvikstranda had disappeared as the tide rolled in.
Our final big activity was heading out to a water break to look at Svolvær after sunset. On this particular night, the sun went down at 10:31 PM. The photos we took around the village at 11:45 PM look like they were taken during the day, even though it was well after sunset. During this outing, we came across two cats. I managed to photograph one as it watched the water; the other was hunting and caught a mouse for dinner before we could snap a picture.
