During our fjord tour, we learned that the architecture of the Oslo Opera House inspired the design of the three identical electric boats. Naturally, we had to stop by to check out the Opera House, walk up its sides, and explore inside.
From there, we went to Akershus Fortress and Akershus Castle for a private tour of the grounds. The entire fortress is owned by the Norwegian Navy and is still active today. We took a guided tour, accessing locked spaces that most tourists aren’t allowed into. While on the grounds, we also toured the Resistance Museum and the castle, where we saw the mausoleum of the two most recent Norwegian kings.
After nearly three hours of walking the grounds, we headed deeper into the city for some fun at Underground Golf Club (mini golf) and dinner.
